Description Join us in celebrating this Labor Day weekend with food and fun, plus a chance to get to know Jenn and her vision for a better Raleigh.

This weekend we are connecting with neighbors and celebrating Labor Day! The holiday that recognizes the progress created for the American People by the labor movement.

If you appreciate having weekends, lunch breaks, workers compensation, family medical leave, and other benefits, you have unions and movement workers to thank. Labor Day is about recognizing the hard won rights and benefits for American workers through history AND Labor Day is is also a time to look forward on the issues facing workers today. More attention is needed to ensure Raleigh workers, at the City and in the community have fair pay, economic justice, and dignity of work.

Jenn is proud to have the endorsement of the NC AFL-CIO in support of her campaign for Raleigh City Council based on their shared values.

Jennifer Truman is running for Raleigh City Council in November of 2022 because she believes it’s time to return the conversation to how we can build a different and better future for Raleigh.

Raleigh is at a critical moment in its growth. Dozens of new residents move to the city each day. Raleigh’s leadership and the voters in November, have critical decisions to make on how to equitably and sustainably provide housing, quality of life, and opportunity to welcome new neighbors and support current residents. Jennifer Truman is optimistic that finding a balance is possible.
