HELP HURRICANE HELENE VICTIMS

The Tate's School of Discovery Foundation is working to meet unmet needs in Tennessee and North Carolina.

YOUR DONATION CAN SAVE A LIFE!

All cash contributions will be used to purchase hurricane relief and recovery supplies. Current needs are housing, shelters, used cars, heaters, generators, sleeping bags, thermal clothing, gloves, hats, pet housing, pet enclosures, portable toilets, chairs, tables, and volunteers. Cleaning supplies, animal feed, and toiletries are still welcome. All donations are tax-deductible and will directly help those struggling to recover.

Tate's has partnered with McDonald Elementary School located in Greene County , Tennessee to provide support after this unprecedented event. McDonald is located close to the interstate and has agreed to serve as a distribution center for the entire school district.

As of this writing, we have delivered over 8,000 lbs of non-perishables to the school. Special Thanks to Hillbilly Smoke food truck for serving over 300 meals at the school in October! We have also delivered 100 gallons of water and animal feed to the Newport Animal Control Facility.

Thank you to everyone who has been helping! We are making a difference. As we move into recovery efforts, the Tate's School Foundation has now partnered with Gunny Cole, a retired marine that specializes in disaster relief operations. Gunny is based in Knoxville and has procured 20 emergency shelters that are being delivered to flood victims. The first delivery was last Friday, November 1, 2024. The recipient was an 81-year-old woman from Cocke County. Her RV burned to the ground prior to the flood and then the home she was living in was washed away by flood waters.

I am proud to announce that Tate’s Foundation is now funding supplies for at least six of these shelters. Supplies like, chairs, tables, and cots are arriving any day.

If you would like to help us stock these units with generators, heaters, portable toilets, and soft goods, we are still accepting contributions and welcome your support. Your donations are tax deductible because we are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Please help us outfit these shelters and give hope to those struggling to recover.

Although relief is outside of our normal scope of providing student scholarships, we feel called to help our neighbors in desperate need. JOIN US!
