Description Be a Blessing: Insight from the Jewish Tradition
What does it mean to receive blessing, offer blessing, be a blessing? From the perspective of Jewish practice, these three actions are a primary way that we humans participate daily in renewing God's creation. Through lecture, contemplative practice, sharing, and discussion, we will explore Shefa, the Source of blessings, B'racha, a prayer and ritual practice, and God's directive and promise to Abraham in the Books of Genesis, "Go away from your land, your birthplace, and from your father's house...I will bless you and make you great. You shall become a blessing."
