2018 FASD Day at the Capitol

Tuesday February 27, 2018 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Christ Lutheran Church
105 University Ave W Saint Paul, MN 55103

Description FASD Day at the Capitol 2018

Come together with other advocates to learn about the importance of speaking up for FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders) issues. Speakers will provide information on the how to effectively advocate and tell your story. You will also have the opportunity to dig deeper into the proposed legislation that will affect the FASD community.

A number of key legislators have been invited to speak. Following the training at the church, we will all participate in the Disability Day at the Capitol Rally in the Capitol Rotunda. This is an exciting new opportunity to join with the larger disability community to raise our voices on many issues. Following that we will be scheduling individual appointments with your legislators. The church and Capitol are within walking distance to the State Office Building and Senate Office Building where the appointments will be held. It’s going to be an exciting day and important legislative session where we need to make sure policymakers know that FASD has a strong and committed community of advocates. Join us! It is free to sign up and coffee, snacks and pizza lunch will be provided.

Your voice matters! Please join us to speak up for people living with an FASD and share why FASD matters to you!
